Prior to the repair campaign 2012, Chuvashenergo, a branch of IDGC of Volga, JSC, received a permit for the large-scale repair operations upon thoroughly inspecting production departments of the Company according to the Regulations on preparation for large-scale repair operations. The personnel underwent knowledge tests, medical examination and practiced safe methods of work execution at electric installations. Maintenance in good condition of necessary equipment, tools, devices, rigging and protective equipment, provision of special arc-resistant cloths and shoes to the personnel is another important aspect of preparation for the large-scale repair operations. The yearly repair campaign aims to maintain good condition of the electric grid equipment, prevent malfunctions and failures, ensure continuous power supply to all consumers and to prepare for the upcoming autumn and winter period. The certificate of readiness for autumn and winter peak loads obtained by a power company evidences that the repair operations were successfully completed.
