OREANDA-NEWS. June 5, 2012. In 2012, specialists of Ulyanovsk Distribution Grids and its Production Departments shall overhaul twenty-eight 35-220 kV substations and four hundred and ninety-nine 10/0.4 kV transformer substations. The work package includes the repair of 31 power transformers, 191 switches, 164 disconnectors and 34 separators and short circuitors. Power engineers will replace almost 14 thousand insulators, about 100 km of wire and 7 km of ground wire at 110-35 kV power transmission lines (668.34 km) and 10/0.4 kV power transmission lines (1,421.88 km). The repair operations involve the replacement of 1,437 supports of power transmission lines of any voltage. Bushes will be removed on a total right-of-way area of 475.92 ha. The Company's fleet of vehicles and special machinery is ready for the sweeping repair operations. Repair personnel was provided with necessary materials, tools and small equipment. The employees of the Branch attended additional training courses, participated in emergency response training exercises and practiced first-aid measures.
