OREANDA-NEWS. June 1, 2012. UTair Aviation has temporarily suspended cooperation on maintenance operations for foreign aircraft with its subsidiary UTair-Technik in Vnukovo, Surgut and Tyumen airports until the subsidiary can establish compliance with certain European Aviation Safety Agency standards noted in a recent audit.

In the interim, maintenance of foreign aircraft will be undertaken by Russian aircraft engineering companies S7 Engineering and Vostok Technical Service and the Western engineering firm Nayak. The transition between maintenance contractors took place on May 26-27 and did not affect the UTair flight schedule.
