Fujitsu Expands Lineup of 8-bit Motor Control Microcontroller
OREANDA-NEWS. June 01, 2012. Fujitsu Semiconductor Asia Pte Ltd (FSAL) today announced the release of 3 models of MB95690 series, to enhance the lineup of New 8FX Family. The new product embeds a DC brushless motor controller and two analog voltage comparators, thus more suitable for the application in motor control. The MB95690 series is a member of the new 8FX Family. As an update version of 95390H series, it is pin-to-pin compatible with the 95390H series. The sample will be available from late Mar. 2012 and shipment will start in May, 2012.
With increasing demand in the market for energy saving, it is getting more popular to have white home appliances (air-conditioner, dish-washer, fan etc.), office automatic equipment (fax machine, PC) equipped with a 8bit microcontroller with DC brushless control function. In response to the market need, Fujitsu Semiconductor has expanded the lineup of 8bit microcontroller new 8FX family by launching the MB95690 series.
Aside from the support for DC brushless motor control function, this series also integrates 2 analog voltage comparators and is compatible with various composite timers and communication functions. Therefore, it can be used as main microcontroller, as well as sub-microcontroller to supplement function insufficiency in the existing system configuration.
Besides, the 1-wire on-chip debug module embedded in the chip allows occupation of only one pin when the customer debugs program, which benefits customers in their product development. The product also has a high precision CR oscillation circuit that can be used as the clock source of microcontroller system, thereby reducing the external component count required in customer’s development.
