OREANDA-NEWS. May 30, 2012. During the nearest month Perm Engine Company is getting into vigorous creative activity of the "White nights" festival, which has became a heart-warming tradition for Perm - the city, striving to become the cultural capital of Russia. 

Specially for this the author group comprising Grigory Builov, the head of OJSC "PMZ" Information policy department and Pavel Kim, the leader of one of the most famous creative groups in Perm "Street Art Studio" prepared multigenre art-project "Art of the production". It is based on one simple thesis: sophisticated technologies, used by Perm motor builders in their high-technology production are a kind of art. Namely, they are the art of labor, the art of production. 

The project was approved and supported by the regional Ministry of culture and the administration of the "White nights" festival. Perm celebrities liked the idea of fighting the stereotype of national industry as an obsolete rusty mechanism, neglecting beauty, creativity and fantasy, with the help of artistic images, grown by the project.  

According to the plan of activities of the project on June, 1-24th artistic objects of different genres will be dispersed on the territory of the enterprise, including shops' areas.  The staircase flights of the plant management will be decorated with photographic exhibition "The art of performance", by which Perm photographers will try to express all the magnificence of gas turbine plants and engines, assembled at OJSC "PMZ". In the niches of the conference hall of the company there will be sculptural exposition "Reviving mechanics", presented by Aidar Akhatov's art-group "Cube".  The company museum will meet collection of graphic drawings, submitted by Perm regional museum. These drawings depict the activity of Perm Engine Company in remote and severe 1943.  The same museum in cooperation with Perm State Art gallery will present a collection of Soviet agitation posters, which will be located in the 51st shop in the framework of "Culture of production" exposition. And the walls of the 53rd shop will be decorated by large-size canvas and reproductions, devoted to the topic "Genius of flying".

Furthermore, the project ‘Art of production" will not stay just within the borders of the restricted access facility. On June, the 1st, it will enter the city streets and be presented on the central site of the "White nights" festival - the city esplanade.   There the metal sculptures will be displayed, made by "PMZ" weld workers, supervised by Rustam Ismagilov, a famous metal sculptor.  The element of show will be contributed to the presentation by "Urban Drums" band that will perform their rhythmic compositions on the iron drum kit, assembled at "PMZ".   

On the same day (June, 1st is an officially celebrated birth day of the company) the territory of the enterprise will have a new look. Therein the full-size models of aircraft and ground engines will be exhibited, various creative groups will show their artistic performances for the company employees, and their children will be busy at the competition of drawings on the asphalt.
