OREANDA-NEWS. May 30, 2012. The State Financial Energy Saving & Emission Cutting Work Meeting was held in Beijing. TISCO was invited to attend the meeting. Mr. Gao Xiangming, the general manager of TISCO, made an introduction of TISCOЃfs experience in energy saving and emission cutting, and received high praise.

Mr. Gao Xiangming mentioned, in recent years, under the guide and support of state industry policy and financial energy saving & emission cutting policy, TISCO made a lot of effort in building a green plant and achieved a notable effect. Compared to the year of 2005, in 2011 the overall energy consumption per ton steel was reduced by 22.9%, the fresh water consumption per ton steel was reduced by 91%, SO2 emission per ton steel was cutted by 88%, dust emission per ton steel was lowered by 93%. At present, we have acturalized the 100% recycling and reusing of solid waste, waste industry water and waste industry acid. More than 50,000 tons of living sewage are recycled every day; the gaseity waste are also recycled and utilized. Among the total energy consumption, more than 45% are recycled energy, which is in a leading position in this industry.

In this meeting, 3 enterprises are chosen by the State Financial Ministry to introduce their experience. TISCO is the only one of steel industry. It is reported that 97.9 billion RMB yuan is planned for energy saving & emission cutting and renewable energy program in 2012 by central finance, 25.1 billion more than the previous year. In addition to that, there are capitals for renewable energy electricity price addition, strategic new industry, circulation economy, service industry development and for infrastruction investment. The total amount will be 170 billion yuan.
