OREANDA-NEWS. May 29, 2012. Authorized representative of JSC "National Agency for Technological Development," Aidyn Kulseitov and deputy mayor of Astana city Kanat Sultanbekov signed a memorandum on cooperation between the agency and the Mayor’s office of Astana city on May 23, 2012. The signing ceremony was held at the Palace of Independence, in the framework of the fifth Astana Economic Forum.

The document is aimed to define the framework conditions for cooperation between parties in the field of innovation. According to the Memorandum, parties are ready "to implement joint actions on construction of innovation infrastructure in Astana city, meeting modern requirements; to promote measures and instruments of state support for innovation; to facilitate technology transfer and implementation of industrial and innovative projects; to raise awareness and business involvement to innovative activities."

Particularly, it is plan to develop cooperation by exchanging information and experiences on innovative development; a mutual, organizational, consulting and information-analytical support; joint activities; promoting innovation activities and its instruments of the state support.

The parties also set goals, such as a development of commercialization technologies; an expansion of joint partnership networks; cooperation for searching, structuring and promoting of innovative projects; the formation of the expert community on innovative development in priority sectors of the city economy.

Also, a joint implementation of industrial - innovative projects is provided, funding of which is proposed to provide by creation of a regional venture or an investment fund.
