OREANDA-NEWS. May 28, 2012. The conference on “Nanotechnologies – Innovative Solutions: Practical Interaction” was organized by KAMAZ jointly with RUSNANO.

Representatives of various developers of RUSNANO, including managers, chief designers, and technologists, arrived at KAMAZ. The conference was attended by Irek Gumerov, Deputy Director General – Director of Development; Danis Valeev, Chief Designer of KAMAZ – Director of Research and Development Center; Ravil Khisamutdinov, Manufacturing Manager of OJSC KAMAZ – Director of Technology Center. The central purpose of the event was to analyze RUSNANO developers’ proposals concerning the delivery of materials, the use of new technologies and products for the manufacture of prototype vehicles.

The previous "Nanotechnologies – Innovative Solutions" conference was held last December. Then the innovative companies were given specific tasks and technical demands aimed at improving the products of OJSC KAMAZ. According to Ravil Khisamutdinov, 9 companies were chosen by means of "natural selection". "It was they who suggested KAMAZ concrete solutions in different directions, and now, after six months, we are ready to discuss them, fix dates of performance, and determine prices optimal for the company," said the manufacturing manager of KAMAZ.

The spectrum of developments presented at the conference is very broad. For example, corrosion- and wear-resistant coatings, composite materials, polymeric materials with nanocomponents and others were developed specially for KAMAZ. Several prototypes have already been made, and they are currently tested. The results of testing of tools made by these companies were also announced at the conference, but some decisions still require additional elaboration jointly with KAMAZ’s experts.
