OREANDA-NEWS. May 28, 2012. At the special press conference ESTA Holding told about its first progress on creation of art space at the territory of Yunost factory.

"Over the last month we have made some very important steps that, in our opinion, will create something special in the territory of Yunost factory, which Kiev and its residents really need. – according to Nikolay Nesterenko, CEO of ESTA Holding. – Firstly, we have tried to ensure maximum transparency of the project through active dialogue with the public. We hold consultations with the experts, activists, representatives of Andriyivsky Descent community. We also created the internet platform - website www.junost.org.ua, where you can find the latest news about the project, study the documents, see live, what is happening on the site and send your offers about the future of art space. Secondly, we are actively engaged in creating public advisory council, which is to decide, what will be on this site. Thirdly, we put the construction site in order in the mode that is maximally comfortable for our neighbours. Finally, we have defined for ourselves the possible areas of our participation in the restoration of Andriyivsky Descent that will deal with the pedestrian infrastructure of the street".

Yulia Filonenko, who developed the most transparent procedures for the formation of the public expert council, became its Coordinator. On May 20, a public vote was launched on the project website that will determine the list of occupations to be represented in the council. From June 1 to June 20, 2012 it is planned to hold a voting for the future members of the public expert council, and on July 1 – its first meeting, which will be broadcast live on the project website.

Furthermore, the representatives of GfK Ukraine Gleb Vyshlinskiy and Tatiana Yablonovskaya presented at the press conference the results of the study Evaluation of Kiev Citizens’ Reaction to Renovation and Demolition of Buildings at Andriyivsky Descent, carried out in May 2012. All results of the study are published on the project website and will be transferred to the future public expert council.
