OREANDA-NEWS. May 25, 2012. According to a decree, signed on Monday by the Russian President Vladimir Putin, the responsibility for coordinating the implementation of priority directions of state regulation of tourism activities in the Russian Federation has been passed on to the Ministry of Culture.

The Decree also provides that the Federal Agency for Tourism (Rosturizm) will be under the supervision of the  Ministry of Culture and the Federal Agency on Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh) -  under  the Ministry of Education and Science.

Under the new structure of government, the function of the head the agency under the Ministry, may be rested on the deputy minister.

In the past, Rosturizm was under the supervision of the Ministry of Sport, Tourism and Youth Policy, headed by Mutko. On Monday, it became known that Mutko was appointed Minister of Sports of Russia.

Vladimir Medinsky was appointed the new Minister of Culture of Russia .
