The index of devaluationary expectations of Ukrainians decreased by 2.2 p. to 122.7.

The following key trends were observed in April:
Improvement of the consumer confidence index occurred mostly because of current personal financial standing index and propensity to consume, while economic expectations haven’t changed significantly. Such changes might be explained by the decrease of devaluationary and inflationary expectations against the growing expectations regarding changes in unemployment background. These changes reflect the UAH value and consumer prices stability along with economic slowdown, concerning industry uppermost.
The worst confidence dynamics was observed in Eastern and Southern Ukraine, and big cities as well, while central, northern and western regions demonstrated most significant increase.
"Financial and price stability achievement favored the improvement of consumer confidence, however, the economic stagnation continues bothering Ukrainians and doesn’t bring them a positive look-ahead”, - as the GfK Ukraine analysts comment.
