The programme also created awareness on safety in routine life.
Speaking on the occasion, Sabyasachi Mukherjee, station head, Maithon power plant, said, “We are happy to conduct such sessions on safety for the family members of our employees. It is important to develop a culture of ‘safety’ both at the workplace and home to make it the DNA of the organisation.”
Appreciating the initiative, Ashok Wankhede, head, eastern region, said, “Off-the-job safety ensures an 'integrated safety approach'. If we train employee family members along with employees on safety aspects, then it percolates as a culture in the family and eventually becomes the culture of the company.”
