TENEX Donated 540 Computers to National Research Nuclear University
OREANDA-NEWS. May 22, 2012. The JSC Techsnabexport (TENEX) donated to the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI (former Moscow Engineering Physics Institute) 540 personal computers within the framework of the ongoing modernization of the information technologies unit of the nuclear industry facilities initiated by the Rosatom State Corporation. The donated hardware will be installed at two Moscow lyceums No. 1511 and 1523, as well as in the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI’s Center of pre-university training and at the several MEPhi’s chairs.
“Promotion of education and innovations is an indisputable priority of the Rosatom State Corporation in the short-term perspective: Russian nuclear industry is in steady growth and needs more and more skilled young professionals. For many years MEPHI has been continuously providing personnel for TENEX – a considerable number of the Company’s employees have MEPHI diplomas,” - highlighted Igor Loshakov,
Deputy Director General, Head of Directorate for Personnel and General Issues (TENEX).
In replacement of the hardware donated to National Research Nuclear University MEPhI, TENEX has equipped its office and employees workplaces at all its subsidiaries with the state-of-art computers. The main merit of this model is the all-in-one desktop that means saving of space and energy efficiency.
“New computers fully meet the TCO Certified Edge standards for ergonomic parameters of the office devices, as well as the workers’ and environmental safety. Among the advantages of the new PC’s are the air cleaner that is incorporated in the power unit, and auto adjustment of brightness that helps reducing the strain on the eyes. All-in-one PC body is 42% manufactured from the recycled materials, meaning that 65 plastic bottles have been recycled to produce one PC body. This particular PC type was chosen basing on the results of the workplace attestation held at TENEX following the introduction of the environmental management system certified in compliance with ISO 14 001,” - said Alexander Lyubavin, Head of Directorate for Procurements, Quality and Information Technologies (TENEX).
