POSCO Ranked First as Most Admired Korean Company in 2012
OREANDA-NEWS. May 21, 2012. (Fortune Korea) and the Sungkyunkwan University Management Research Institute applied (Fortune)`s the `Most Admired Company` survey method to Korean companies and announced the `50 Most Admired Korean Companies` on May 11th.
POSCO was highly evaluated for building the first overseas integrated steelworks in Indonesia, focusing on securing resources in the Africa and South America region, and making efforts to reduce costs and strive for quality management for radical internal reform.
Also, in social contribution activities through the world, POSCO has further firmed its position as the leading Korean social responsible management company through volunteer activities where employees voluntarily and proactively participate, going beyond the norm of one-time activities for exhibition.
Meanwhile, the `50 Most Admired Companies` conducted a survey on the 10 most possibly admirable companies regardless of industry and ranked them according to selection frequency. POSCO ranked first followed by Samsung Electronics, Korean Air, Hyundai Motor, and Hyundai Heavy Industries.
