OREANDA-NEWS. May 21, 2012. At the Super Family Day, which took place at the Tallinn Zoo, the honorary title of the Super Family of the Year was announced for the third time and awarded to the Kivimae-Laidro family raising five children in
BIGBANK rewarded the Super Family of the Year 2012 with 1,000 euros.
“The judges decided to award the Kivimae-Laidro family because they stick together and are an active family, who stands out with a busy lifestyle and positive approach to life,” said the President of the Union of Large Families of Estonia, Aage Ounap. The children of the family do well both in and out of school.
The eldest child of the family, Marie-Madli (15), is a fast runner and an excellent student, Markus Madis (14) loves music and extreme sports, Meeri Marlene (8) is a talented dancer, and 3-year-old Margaret Miriam is a fine babysitter for her younger sister Maarja Marii (15 months). The family includes also a Bordeaux Mastiff named Laion, who is considered as the sixth child in the family.

According to Merle, her family is active and positive and always finds something to do together. “Our home is like Pippi Longstocking’s house, where something exiting is always happening and nobody is bored,” Merle Laidro added.

The Super Family Day, which this year took place already for the eighth time, and the honorary title Super Family of the Year, which was awarded for the third time, are a tradition in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
The initiators and organisers of the Super Family Day and the honorary title Super Family of the Year are ASBL Union of Large Families of Estonia (MTU Eesti Lasterikaste Perede Liit) and BIGBANK AS.
