OREANDA-NEWS. May 21, 2012. The Novosibirsk Airport (Tolmachevo) handled Boeing747-400 ERF of cargo airline AirBridgeCargo, arrived from the Pearson International Airport (Toronto, Canada). The aircraft delivered a living cargo - a large shipment of tribal cows to the capital of Siberia.

Aircraft maintenance was performed by staff of the cargo operator LLC "International Airport Novosibirsk" ("MAN") using a special loading and unloading equipment. After the completion of necessary procedures the freighter departed to Hong Kong.

The Tolmachevo Airport has a great experience with a living cargo: the airport   serves flights on the orders of the Novosibirsk zoo, poultry farms, pet shops and breeding pet kennels on a regular basis.

Realization of the cargo development program   is one of the priorities of JSC "Airport Tolmachevo". The plans of the company include the building of four parking facilities with total area of 81,000 square meters for all types of wide-bodied aircraft, including Boeing747-8 up to 2012. Parking facilities will be equipped with centralized refueling system and individual taxiways due to which aircrafts will be able to taxi to parking lots. Construction will be carried out with the use of concrete, resistant to chemicals and changes in weather conditions.

The Novosibirsk Airport (Tolmachevo)- the largest air hub east of the Urals located on key transit routes between Europe and Asia. The capacity on domestic flights is 1,800 passengers per hour, on international flights - 750 passengers per hour. The airport has two runways. According to business plan in 2012 the Tolmachevo Airport plans to handle more than 26,000 tons of cargo and mail that is   28% more than in 2011.

LLC "International Airport Novosibirsk"is the operator of the cargo terminal at the Novosibirsk Airport (Tolmachevo). It carries out activities on the commercial services of aircrafts in terms of cargo handling. The Company was founded in 2005 as an investment company on creation of airport infrastructure objects as part of the Novosibirsk Airport (Tolmachevo) General development plan.
