OREANDA-NEWS. May 21, 2012. Belarus’ output of all mineral fertilizers decreased 9.3% on the year in January-March 2012 to 1.547 million tonnes, a representative of Belarus’ Statistics Committee told reporters.

The output of potash fertilizers decreased 12.1% on the year in January-March to 1.269 million tonnes, of nitrogen fertilizers went up 4.3% to 216,100 tonnes, and the production of phosphate fertilizers went up 13.5% to 61,400 tonnes in the period.

Chemical fiber and filament production grew 7% to 61,900 tonnes.

Combined output of Belarus’ chemical and petrochemical industry went up 29.8% on the year in January-March 2012 to 18.75 trillion Belarusian rubles (Br) in monetary terms (USD 2.341 billion at the NBB rate).

Inventories of chemical and petrochemical companies were at 30.9% of the average monthly output, or 1.42 trillion rubles (USD 177.278 million).
