OREANDA-NEWS. May 18, 2012. Inland waterways of the Russian Federation will be accessible for shipping of foreign-flagged sports vessels, pleasure boats and tourists’ boats, starting as of May 25, 2012, Rosmorrechflot said.

On May 5, 2012 the Russian Government issued an order, with the list of ports open for arrivals of foreign-flagged boats, and the list of inland waterways accessible for these boats. On May 12 the government issued a decree "On Approval of the Rules of shipping on the inland waterways of the Russian Federation of sailboats and recreational boats flying the flags of foreign countries", effective as of May 25, 2012.
