OREANDA-NEWS. May 18, 2012. The Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Eduard Stavytskyi has met with Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to Ukraine Stefan Gullgren.

During the meeting parties have discussed the approximation of environmental Ukraine’s legislation to the EU member states legislation.

Currently, Ambassador of Sweden to Ukraine Stefan Gullgren expressed hope for further joint projects in the field of water resources usage, atmospheric air protection, disposal of hazardous waste.

For his part, Eduard Stavytskyi assured the Swedish party in further implementation of joint projects and enhanced cooperation, "The effectiveness of cooperation between our countries will be increased. This is fully consistent with the President Viktor Yanukovich’s desire to make Ukraine a part of common European family.
