OREANDA-NEWS. May 17, 2012. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) initiated a case on violating the antimonopoly law against “Yedinaya Torgovaya Kompania” OJSC, “Plastcard” OJSC, “Caustic” OJSC (of Sterlitamak), “Sibmanagement Group” Ltd. and “Sayanskchimplast” OJSC, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

FAS suspects that the companies took part in a cartel agreement on dividing the market of polyvinylchloride according to the category of buyers and the volume of sales.

“Such agreements are prohibited by Clause 3 Part 1 Article 11 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”, said the Head of FAS Cartel Department, Alexander Kinyov. “Polyvinylchloride products have a wide range of use, particularly, in construction. The cartel on this market results in adverse consequences for a wide range of consumers”.
