OREANDA-NEWS. May 16, 2012. PDVSA Petropiar clarifies public opinion that in developing its operations in Block Ayacucho in the Orinoco Oil Belt, located south of Anzoategui state, there has been no type of spill.

It reported that the activities are normally and that current production levels reach 170 thousand barrels per day, in harmony with the environment and free of accidents.

The workers and the management team of PDVSA Petropiar affirm their commitment to the development of clean and safe operating practices in a responsible manner, in accordance with the corporate guidelines and national rules in place governing this area.  Last week a multidisciplinary group made an inspection tour along the river Caris, addressing six points in the catchment area of this joint venture in the pipeline that starts in the Bare Operating Center, culminating in the Patio Tanque Oficina.

It was inspected areas of El Puente, Fundo Las Flores, Pica Pica, El Bordero, El Nazareno y Puente de Tabaro  (municipalities of Miranda and Simon Rodriguez, Anzoategui state) to check their  conditions and plan for the next days a sham that prepare the staff regarding the measures to take if it generates an emergency situation.
