OREANDA-NEWS. May 16, 2012. Wisco independently developed thick pipeline steel X80 was fabricated to longitudinal submerged arc welded pipe (LSAW) by NJJL/CNPC (Nanjing Julong Steel Pipe Limited Company, China National Petroleum Corporation), reported the press-centre of Wisco.  

Through whole Physiochemical Performance inspections, all performance indexes of steel plate and steel pipe are approved to entirely meet the technical requirements by line three project of west-east natural gas transmission.

Line three project of west-east natural gas transmission, a prior and key pipeline project scheduled to be constructed in the Twelfth Five Year Plan, has a total main line of 6407 km from Xinjiang Korgas in west to Fujian Fuzhou in east, and needs more than 4 million tons of large diameter thick pipeline steel X80. Wisco R&D Center collaborated with Echang steel branch as well as Inspection and Marketing Departments developed X80 pipeline steel with thickness of 26.4mm within short time.
