In April, IBC Committee for Sustainable Development and Corporate Social Responsibility has initiated a number of events to create a platform for the discussion of measures to increase energy efficiency in Kyrgyzstan through introducing energy efficient technologies and fulfilling obligations undertaken by the country under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, reported the press-centre of IBC.

Energy efficient technologies are currently being actively discussed by the world community. In connection with the planned participation of Kyrgyzstan in a number of international events on energy efficiency, the IBC Committee for Sustainable Development and Corporate Social Responsibility is going to review the Program on Energy Efficiency in Kyrgyzstan for 2011-2015 and other relevant document. Members of the Committee will discuss the country’s potential for increasing energy efficiency. At present, the Committee is holding negotiations with the parties concerned.
