Over 40 companies, including 9 new exhibitors, are set to participate this year. Represented countries include Kazakhstan, China, Latvia, Malaysia, Poland, Russia, Thailand, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and France. Russia has 15 exhibitors (the largest group participation), followed by 12 Uzbekistani exhibitors.

A key sector of Power Uzbekistan 2012 is electrical and power equipment, which includes transformers, substation equipment, transducers, generators, low voltage and high voltage equipment, and other products.

Exhibitors include: Promavtomatika, Cheaz, Ekra, Elster Metronica, Energosoyuz, Electroizolit, Energoresurs, Power Machines, Rosmufta, Uz-Helamin, Zaporozhtransformator, Smart Energy, Baranchinsky Electromechanical Plant, plus many others. A 5.4bn USD development programme will modernise and re-equip the country’s facilities, factories and companies, along with introducing resource-efficient technologies which will help to ensure reliable, high-quality power and heat supply. This programme will also update and improve the national grid and power distribution networks, funding the construction of over 1,000km of new lines, 400 transformers and 13 substations.

A comprehensive business programme will also form part of Power Uzbekistan 2012. This year’s theme is ‘Energy 2012: Innovations, Solutions and Prospects’, with presentations on international cooperation in key areas for energy development and alternative energy. Over 100 senior managers and industry experts have already confirmed their attendance.
