OREANDA-NEWS. May 15, 2012. Baosteel Co.,Ltd. holds the 5th Board session 1st meeting, considers and passes motions including the election of the chairman of the 5th Board. The 5th Board Directors have a total of nine members. They are He Wenbo, Ma Guoqiang, Zhao Zhouli, Zhu Chunsheng, Wang Li, Buck Pei, Huang Bijuan, Huang Yuchang and Liu Wenbo, among which Buck Pei is Baosteel Group external director, Huang Bijuan, Huang Yuchang and Liu Wenbo are independent directors. He Wenbo is elected the 5th Board chairman, reported the press-centre of Baosteel.  

On April 27, Baosteel Co.,Ltd. held the 5th Board session 1st meeting in Shanghai and all directors unanimously passed the motion on the election of the 5th Board session special committee members and executive directors. The Board elected three directors: Huang Yuchang, Huang Bijuan and Ma Guoqiang as members of the Audit Committee, elected 4 directors: Huang Yuchang, Huang Bijuan, Liu Wenbo and Buck Pei as Remuneration and Appraisal Committee members, elected seven directors: He Wenbo, Ma Guoqiang Zhao Zhouli, Zhu Chunsheng, Wang Li, Buck Pei, Liu Wenbo as Strategy and Risk Management Committee members and elected five directors: He Wenbo, Ma Guoqiang, Zhao Zhouli, Zhu Chunsheng, Wang Li as Board executive directors.

The Board appointed Ma Guoqiang as President of the company, Li Yongxiang, Jiang Licheng, Chen Ying, Zhou Jianfeng, Wang Jing as deputy Presidents and Chen Ying as secretary of the Board of Directors.

The company shareholders' meeting held on the same day also passed a motion on the general election of the Board of Supervisors. It elected Liu Zhanying, Guo Bing and Wu Kunzong as 5th Supervisory Committee non-staff representative supervisors. Lin An, Zhang Pijun were re-elected by the company staff congress as Baosteel Supervisory Board supervisors representing the staff. In the 1st meeting of the 5th Supervisory Committee to be held later, Liu Zhanying is elected as the fifth Supervisory Board chairman.
