OREANDA-NEWS. May 14, 2012. Pipeline Company BTC Co is exploiting actively an additional source of oil for transportation via Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline named after Heydar Aliyev.

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan informs that Turkmen oil supplies started via BTC in July 2010 decreased in April versus March’s indicators.

“Until 1st May 2012 it was delivered 5.28 million tons, including 2.237 million tons last year,” it was informed.

At that, this April it was supplied 207,190 tons  versus 317.981 tons in March, 326.676 tons in February, 318.158 tons this January and 797,000 tons in April 2011 (absolute record of delivery per month for the entire history). For Jan-Apr of the year 1.17 million tons of Turkmen oil was pumped.

The agreement on Turkmen oil transportation via BTC was signed in July 2010 and prolonged in June 2011.
