E4 Group Develops Relationship with Its Subsidiaries and Affiliates
OREANDA-NEWS. May 14, 2012. E4 Group continues to implement the program on the development of mutually beneficial relationship with its subsidiaries and affiliates. The plan package includes joint training programs, selection of the best practices, experience exchange with regard to problematic issues, integration of management systems (QMS) during implementation of joint projects.
Within this program, a round-table meeting dedicated to “Project Quality Management” was held on April 23-24, 2012. The meeting was attended by the representatives of Design Institutes, construction/erection companies of the Group, as well as by the specialists from Headquarter departments and Front Offices (construction sites), which are in charge of design engineering.
During the discussion, the participants raised major problems which occur in the design engineering phase and are related to cooperation between EPC Contractor – General Designer – Subcontractor. Also, they exchanged their experience how to establish Project Quality Assurance System, outlined the problems of cooperation between the project participants, as well as defined the plan how to optimize the information exchange process and time loss required for working through project solutions.
Apart from this, the round-table participants negotiated for application of a 3D design technology, as well as development of a united information space which would integrate all the subsidiaries and affiliates of E4 Group into a single network with a data base for design solutions, manufacturers’ conventional components and equipment catalogues. The information network based on KEDO PDMS technology allows engaging key design engineering specialists for project development, quick information exchange and review of design solutions, irrespective of the geographic location of the institute.
The round-table participants outlined some practical issues in order to standardize the cooperation scheme on design engineering for ongoing EPC projects. The experience exchange was considered to be successful, and it will allow making cooperation more efficient.
