OREANDA-NEWS. May 14, 2012. The First Deputy Chairman of State Customs Service Oleksandr Dorohovskyy and heads of relevant departments of the State Customs Service met with the Adviser to trade and economic issues at the Embassy of the People's Republic to Ukraine Mr. Lo Veydun and 2nd Secretary of the Office of Trade and Economic Affairs at the Embassy of China Mr. Hun Shuansi.

During the meeting parties stressed the importance of partnership relations between our countries.

In particular, in 2011 the trade turnover between our countries has been increased by 40% and amounted to 8.5 billion U.S. dollars. And already for the first four months of 2012 there was an increase of commodity turnover by almost 20 percent. Currently, China holds the second position among 200 countries - trading partners of Ukraine.

Such revival of foreign trade activities between Ukraine and China - is not a limit, are convinced in the State Customs Service. However, still more trade turnover growth is possible by strengthening cooperation between customs agencies of the two countries, said First Deputy Chairman of State Customs Service.

Customs Service proposed to hold an extended meeting with representatives of Chinese businesses in Ukraine with the participation of the International Chamber of Commerce and the Association of Customs Brokers.
