OREANDA-NEWS. From 12 June 2012, special rates and discounts will apply to compartment carriages and sleeper carriages on long-distance trains to Kazakhstan operated by the First Passenger Company, a subsidiary of Russian Railways, reported the press-centre of RZD.

The special rates and discounts apply to Train Nos. 325/326 between Novosibirsk and Almaty, Train Nos. 371/372 between Novokuznetsk and Karaganda and Train Nos. 391/392 between Barnaul and Leninogorsk:

when booking return tickets at the same time

family and co-passengers occupying all the compartment

Discounts on return tickets and bookings for the whole compartment are added.

The discount varies from 7% to 21% of the ticket cost and depends on the special fare selected, the rate of the Swiss franc on the day the tickets are booked and the departure date of the train (the period of timetable when flexible tariff regulation is in force).

Passengers should remember that in calculating the fares of passenger rail tickets on routes between Russia and the CIS and Baltic countries, the currency used is the Swiss franc.
