OREANDA-NEWS. May 12, 2012. The fleet of apron equipment of the Tolmachevo Airport was replenished with a universal Italian stairways intended to serve most types of modern aircraft, including Airbus A-330 and Airbus A-340.

The novelty is equipped with economical diesel engine and a special hydraulic control system that ensures the stability of the stairs when boarding and disembarking of passengers. In addition, a number of options allows to continuously operate the device in a severe climate conditions.  Currently the fleet of apron equipment consists of    20 passenger stairways in different versions.

In the near future it is planned to purchase such equipment as anti-icing machine, Sweeping machines, marking machine and other special vehicles to ensure safe and smooth activity of the airport.

The Novosibirsk Airport (Tolmachevo)- the largest air hub east of the Urals located on key transit routes between Europe and Asia. The capacity on domestic flights is 1,800 passengers per hour, on international flights - 750 passengers per hour. The airport has two runways. According to business plan in 2012 The Tolmachevo Airport plans to serve 3,155 thousand passengers that is 14% higher than in 2011.
