OREANDA-NEWS. May 11, 2012. TATNEFT Company successfully continues development of methods for protection of oil field equipment from corrosion. Specialists of TatNIPIneft have developed a technology of cathodic protection of underground and surface facilities from ground corrosion at industrial sites providing for joint cathodic protection of all the facilities within the industrial sites and all incoming and outgoing underground pipelines, reported the press-centre of TATNEFT. 

The technology provides for protection of oil treatment installations, tank farms, preliminary water removal units, booster pump stations; effluent treatment units of the oil complex treatment and refining workshops; preliminary and integrated gas treatment plants, as well as gas and oil refineries.

The technology provides for the most important condition of the cathodic protection efficiency: continuous maintenance of the protecting potentials across the whole surface of the protected facility during the whole lifetime.
