OREANDA-NEWS. May 11, 2012. The competition is conducted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in cooperation with the International Business Council (IBC) and the Public Foundation “Tourism Promotion and Development Board in Kyrgyzstan” with the financial support of the European Commission in the framework of the Central Asian Invest Program II, reported the press-centre of IBC.

The aim of the competition is to select the best logo design that will be used as a brand symbol for tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic in international tourism exhibitions, print advertising, travel guides, guidebooks, etc.

The competition is held among the residents of the Kyrgyz Republic at the age of 16 and above, as well as among foreign citizens interested in promoting Kyrgyzstan as a tourism destination. Participation of the artists, designers, architects and university students enrolled in artistic and graphic design is preferable.

The selection commission of the competition will determine the winners no later than June 1, 2012 with the majority vote by open ballot. There are cash prizes for the first, second and third places. Prize for the 1st place is 20 000 KGS, 2nd place - 10 000 KGS, 3rd place – 5 000 KGS.

The winner is eligible for the further development of the logo as per possible suggestions of the selection commission of the competition and for registration of copyright with the Chamber of Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic.
