OREANDA-NEWS. May 10, 2012. The 62nd session of Board meeting ("Meeting") of Chinese-Polish Joint Stock Shipping Company ("CHIPOLBROK") was held in Warsaw, Poland. Capt. Wei Jiafu, Chairman of COSCO Group, Chinese Chairman of Board Directors of CHIPOLBROK attended the meeting, reported the press-centre of COSCO Group.  

The signing ceremony of the Meeting minute was held in Sheraton Warsaw Hotel and the event was attended by Capt. Wei, Mrs. Janina Mentrak, Polish Director of the Maritime Department, Ministry of Maritime Economy and Fishery and Polish Chairman of Board Directors of CHIPOLBROK, Mr. Sun Yuxi, Chinese Ambassador to Poland and other distinguished guests.

Before the ceremony, Capt. Wei met with Mr. Slawomir Nowak, Polish Minister of Transport, Construction and Maritime Economy. Both parties highly commended the excellence Chipolbrok has displayed in the bilateral economy ties between China and Poland, and expressed willness to further promote the future development of Chipolbrok. Capt. Wei and Minister Nowak also exchanged views on the two countries' transport cooperation as well as on the carbon dioxides emission taxes issues that recently raised by the EU.

CHIPOLBROK -- Chinese-Polish Joint Stock Shipping Company was founded on 15th of June 1951 under the government of China and Poland bilateral agreement - as a first ever Sino-foreign joint-venture deed of association after proclamation of the People's Republic of China. Under the great efforts from all parties, this company remains profitable since its inauguration, particularly in the context of financial crisis in recent years, which was highly recognized by both governments' shareholders and board directors.
