OREANDA-NEWS. May 10, 2012. The Chamber of Auditors (CCRM) has found significant irregularities in the management of the public property of the civil aviation, public auditor Violeta Andries told journalists.

The Chamber of Auditors had examined the activity of the state capital companies that work in the Moldovan civil aviation sector and presented the results of the audit at a today's meeting. CCRM head Serafim Urechean said the meeting would be resumed, as the leaders of the enterprises from the air transport area did not come to the event.

The chamber carried out audit controls for 2010-2011 at the Chisinau International Airport, MoldATSA, Airport Handling and Airport Catering, the Civil Aviation State Administration and the Air Moldova company.

In a press statement, the Chamber of Auditors said that the "Transport Ministry and the Public Property Agency, as founders of entities in the sector, failed to fully exercise their powers to monitor and promote a single policy in the branch, which led to economic decline."

The Chamber also discovered that the companied had paid groundlessly increased salaries for their leaders.
