OREANDA-NEWS. May 5, 2012. In the spring-summer season Rossiya Airlines begin to operate a new flight to Kazan. Direct regular flights from St. Petersburg will start on May 1. Flights to the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan will be performed five times a week - on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. FV765/766 flights depart from St. Petersburg at 22:50, from Kazan - at 02:20 local time. Aircraft An-148 will be operated on this line.

Kazan has recently celebrated its millennium – it is the place where Europe and Asia meets, a city with a developed tourist infrastructure, rich cultural and historical heritage. In 2013, Kazan will host the World Summer Universiade, in 2015 - the world championship in water sports, and in 2018, it will be one of the cities, where it will be the FIFA World Cup.
