OREANDA-NEWS. May 5, 2012. On April 23-25 the Agency was visited by the delegation from the Armenian Deposit Guarantee Fund (the Fund) and the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia. The purpose of the visit was to study the Agency’s experience in such areas as deposit insurance payouts, formation of the register of depositors’ claims as well as testing of bank compliance with the provisions of the Federal law “On Insurance of Households’ Deposits in Banks of the Russian Federation”.

 During the visit the delegation headed by the Fund’s Director Hermine Harutyunyan met with the Agency’s General Director Alexander Turbanov. They exchanged the latest information about the current condition and prospects of the two deposit insurance systems. The parties expressed their satisfaction with the existing level of bilateral cooperation and discussed the ways of its further improvement.
