OREANDA-NEWS. May 5, 2012. Starting 21 May, Ural Airlines resume its direct scheduled flight from Yekaterinburg to Kiev. The flight will be operated weekly on Mondays on a comfortable aircraft of the Airbus A320 family.

The launch of the flight has successfully coincided with the European Football Championship. Kiev will be the venue for the Euro 2012 Final which will take place on 1 July. A total of five matches will be played in Ukraine’s capital city. In between football matches, Kiev’s culture and history memorials are worth visiting. The famous Golden Gate, St. Sophia Cathedral, and Kiev Pechersk Lavra were built during the reign of Yaroslav the Wise. Kiev has 27 museums and 25 theatres, a large Planetarium, a multitude of parks and gardens.
