OREANDA-NEWS.May 05, 2012. The increase was determined by changes of the USD exchange rate against other currencies at a sum of USD 9,01 mln., the Ministry of Finance informs.

Payments of Moldova on the principal debt were USD 14,59 mln., USD 4,46 mln. exceeding the sum of external loans which made up USD 10,13 mln. in this period. As of January 1, 2012 the external state debt of Moldova made up about около USD 1 bln. 142,47 mln.

It increased USD 26,3 mln. (2,4%) last year. The increase was determined by external loans exceeding the debt service payments by USD 34,52 mln. At the same time, the negative dynamic of the USD exchange rate against other currencies made up USD 8,22 mln. last year.
