Moldova to Restore 14 Veterinary Services at Customs Checkpoints
OREANDA-NEWS.May 05, 2012. In line with the resolution of the government, the Agency for Stock-Raising Safety will establish 14 points of veterinary -sanitary control where 51 specialists will work. The Senior Inspectorate of the phyto-sanitary and seed control will open 14 points of phyto-sanitary control where 68 specialists will control products imported.
The resolution to restore veterinary -and phyto-sanitary services at customs checkpoints the government adopted at the initiative of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry so that to check imported and exported stock-raising and plant products and ensure proper execution of the one-window principle.
Minister of Agriculture Vasile Bumacov has noted experts of EC repeatedly pointed out necessity for Moldova to have veterinary -and phyto-sanitary services at the border since this is one of requirements authorities of Moldova have to meet so that DCFTA will be signed with EU.
