Russia to Liberate Delivery of Moldovan Wines
OREANDA-NEWS.May 05, 2012. This was stated by Premier Vladimir Filat at a working sitting attended by wine-makers and wine-growers of Moldova.
The head of the government has stressed that according to arrangements with RF representatives, Moldovan wine-making companies will be able to deliver their products to Russia not only through two terminals in Moscow and St.-Petersburg, but using any customs checkpoints. The regime of deliveries will be liberalized for bottled and bulk wines.
Besides, the list of Moldovan wine-making companies authorized to supply wines to Russia will be enlarged. As the premier has stressed, liberalization of deliveries of Moldovan wines and brandies to Russia should not result in worse quality of wines exported. This is to be ensured by the Food Safety Agency to be established shortly. The Premier has called wine-making companies of the country in full use quotas on duty free deliveries of wines to EU and intensify their work at the Chinese market.
The rules of the game have to be respected by all wine-makers and those departing will be excluded from the list of exporters, he has said. According to Minister of Agriculture and Food of Moldova Vasile Bumacov, at present 46 companies of Moldova have the right to deliver wines to Russia. 13 of them export wines in bulk. This list will be added with companies guaranteeing the quality of their products and authorities are going to apply tough sanctions to those non-observing the quality requirements without waiting for complaints from importers.
