OREANDA-NEWS. May 4, 2012. The US delegation led by Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asian Affairs Geoffrey R. Pyatt, who arrived in Ashgabat to take part in the II US Business Exhibition and the Turkmen-U.S. Business forum, was received at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

According to the meeting participants, establishment of close partner relations between the sectoral ministries and departments, as well as the non-governmental sector of the national economy of Turkmenistan and the leading US industrial companies is a key priority of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the US, development of which satisfies the interests of the two friendly countries.

Participants of the meeting also underlined the importance of work of the Turkmen-US Business Council that plays an important role in organization of business meetings, business forums and exhibition of US companies.

In this context, the parties called for necessity to continue the regular bilateral relations and consultations, including within the Business Council, in development and implementation of joint projects in the trading, economic and investment spheres.
