OREANDA-NEWS. May 04, 2012. The Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service in the Sverdlovsk Region (Sverdlovsk OFAS Russia) fined “Ritual – Service” Ltd. 100,000 Rubles for signing an anticompetitive agreement with “Central Town Hospital of Severouralsk Town District” Municipal Health Care Institution. Sverdlovsk OFAS Russia found that “Ritual – Service” Ltd. violated Part 2 Article 11 of the Federal Law “On Protecting Competition”. “Ritual – Service” Ltd. violated the law by concluding an agreement (for transporting patients who died in the in-patient department to the mortuary of “Central Town Hospital of Severouralsk Town District” Municipal Health Care Institution) with “Central Town Hospital of Severouralsk Town District” Municipal Health Care Institution. The agreement created more advantageous conditions for “Ritual – Service” Ltd. on the market of ceremonial services, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

Sverdlovsk OFAS Russia established that the only goal of concluding the agreement between “Ritual – Service” Ltd. and “Central Town Hospital of Severouralsk Town District” Municipal Health Care Institution was to obtain access to personal data of the diseased used by “Ritual – Service” Ltd. to gain profit.

“The Commission of Sverdlovsk OFAS Russia established that the only true goal of concluding an agreement between “Ritual – Service” Ltd. and “Central Town Hospital of Severouralsk Town District” Municipal Health Care Institution is to obtain access to personal data of the diseased used by “Ritual – Service” Ltd. to gain profit”, commented Deputy Head of Sverdlovsk OFAS Russia, Sergey Volkov.
