Turkmenistan and ExxonMobil Discussed Energy Complex Development
OREANDA-NEWS. May 3, 2012. Vice President of the ExxonMobil American oil and gas company for Europe and Caspian Region Phil Malkhol arrived in Ashgabat to take part in the II Exhibition of the US Companies and the Turkmen-American Business Forum.
Within the framework of the visit Mr. Malhol was received at the Turkmen Government to discuss the important aspects of cooperation for the near future given the growing attractiveness of the Turkmen market for foreign investments.
During the meeting the Vice President of the ExxonMobil Company expressed interest in active participation in implementation of the large-scale programmes for further development of the Turkmen fuel and energy complex, including the projects on exploration works, development of hydrocarbon deposits, and in the oil processing sphere.
Speaking about rich hydrocarbon resources, which reserves have been confirmed by independent international experts, creation of all necessary conditions for foreign business in the country, and the favorable geographical position, Mr. Phil Malhol confirmed the readiness of the company to establish long-term cooperation with Turkmenistan that is vividly proved by opening of the company office in Ashgabat.
