The Center is certified in the GOST-R system for technical expertise and self-sufficiency (accreditation certificate ROSS RU.0001.21IO43) for testing the following: motor gasoline, diesel, motor fuels for medium- and low-speed diesel engines; winterized wide-cut gas condensate diesel fuel, marine fuel, reduced fuel oil, stable gas condensate, oil, and liquified hydrocarbon gases.

GAZPROM VNIIGAZ was established in 1948. In 1999 it was reorganized into the Limited Liability Company Scientific-Research Institute of Natural Gases and Gas Technologies – GAZPROM VNIIGAZ.

The founder of GAZPROM VNIIGAZ Ltd. is JSC Gazprom, which has 100% share of the charter capital of the Company. In 2001, according to the decision of Gazprom, GAZPROM VNIIGAZ acquired the status of the branch scientific center in the field of technology development.

The organizational structure of GAZPROM VNIIGAZ includes research centers, divisions and laboratories, an experimental and prototype base, and R&D and design affiliation in Ukhta (Severnipigaz Ltd.).

GAZPROM VNIIGAZ employs over 1,300 research associates, experts and specialists (including over 50 Doctors of Sciences and 200 Candidates of Sciences); Severnipigaz Ltd. – over 600 research associates, experts and specialists (including 1 Doctor of Sciences and 30 Candidates of Sciences).
