OREANDA-NEWS.  May 03, 2012. Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan hosted a business meeting of Uzbekistan and China.

Business circles of Uzbekistan and members of the Shanghai Industry and Trade Federation participated at the event.

During the meeting, the Chinese businesses received information on wide-scale reforms in Uzbekistan, directed at developing small businesses and private entrepreneurship.

The sides agreed to develop and implement joint projects in various areas and considered issues of strengthening mutual contacts among enterprises, specializing in production of goods for transport, energy and sport sectors.

Uzbekistan and China set the most favourable trade regime. Mutual trade turnover between two states in 2011 made up US.569 billion.

Some 382 joint ventures with the Chinese investments operate in Uzbekistan, while 65 companies from China open their offices in the country.
