IBA Sponsors BSUIR Collegiate Programming Championship
OREANDA-NEWS. May 03, 2012. The finals of the BSUIR Open Championship in Collegiate Programming took place in Minsk, Belarus. The competition was held in compliance with the rules of the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (ACM ICPC), reported the press-centre of IBA.
The Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics has conducted the contest since 2006. IBA has sponsored this championship since 2010.
This year, the championship gathered 91 student and school teams from all over Belarus. Thirty-nine teams reached the competition’s finals. The school team from the town of Mozyr won the first place.
The winners received IBA gift certificates for books.
At the closing ceremony, a special IBA prize, namely a gift certificate for a trip to Warsaw to the ACM ICPC (International Collegiate Programming Contest) finals was handed over to the BSUIR team. The ACM ICPC finals will take place from May 14 to May 18 in the Warsaw University, Poland.
Boris Nikulshin, BSUIR Provost and Chairman of the Organizing Committee, expressed his gratitude for the IBA’s assistance in organizing the contest.
