OREANDA-NEWS. April 28, 2012. TNK-BP’s Central Conflict Commission reviewed 7 appeals from contractors over tenders in the Central Federal District at a meeting this Wednesday. Conflict commissions in Orenburg Region and TNK-BP’s West Siberian branch (Nizhnevartovsk) also held meetings this week, reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.

Since they were established (in December 2010) TNK-BP’s six conflict commissions have reviewed over 110 complaints from Company suppliers and contractors. On average, each commission handles 3-5 complaints every month and in 40% of cases rules in favour of the claimants.

Overall, TNK-BP believes that the stable number of complaints it receives means it can begin planning the work of its complaint commissions on a long-term basis.

“The conflict commissions are now running smoothly. We understand how many complaints are filed and how to organize the way we interact with our contractors for maximum efficiency. The commissions have become an integral part of the company’s business processes and a tool that is trusted by our contractors”, commented TNK-BP Vice President Aleksandr Grabovski.
