OREANDA-NEWS. April 27, 2012. Delegation of the business community of the Czech Republic led by President of the Czech-Central Asian Chamber of Commerce (CSOK) Jiri Nestaval arrived on a working visit to Karelia. Yuri Kancher, First Deputy Head of the Republic of Karelia, met with the delegation.

Let us remind that last November Petrozavodsk was a venue for the first international forum Investments in the Future. Representatives of the Czech-Central Asian Chamber of Commerce, among other international guests, have taken part in the forum and have become interested in projects and programs demonstrated for potential investors.

Now President of the Czech-Central Asian Chamber of Commerce, directors of large companies and banking sector of the Czech Republic came to Karelia to give careful consideration to options of coopreation. Projects implemented by the Corporation for Development of Karelia and Ministry of Economic Development of the republic are considered as spheres for cooperation. These are tourism, small-scale power generation, housing and public utilities, etc. The cooperation is supposed to involve several regions of the republic.

During the trip the Czech delegation has held meetings in ministries and departments of Karelia, discussed potentialities of joint activities with heads of a number of regions and municipal formations of the republic, with representatives of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the republic and business structures.

Welcoming the delegation of the Czech Republic, Yuri Kancher mentioned that Karelia is interested in safe and honest invesors.

– I suppose that during the visit you received evidence that our republic is open for all guests who come with good intent, – Yuri Kancher said, having expressed confidence of efficiency of Czech-Karelian cooperation for both parties.

In turn, President of the Czech-Central Asian Chamber of Commerce Jiri Nestaval has thanked for cordial welcome, as well as for frank and honest discussion of all issues.

– We in a very good mood. The Corporation for Development of Karelia has prepared the working program for us quite professionally. All meetings were reliable and specific. I hope, our cooperation will continue and grow stronger, – Jiri Nestaval said.

It is planned that before long the delegation of the Czech Republic returns to Karelia for further development of joint projects.
