OREANDA-NEWS. April 27, 2012. Voronezh Region Governor Alexei Gordeev met with Mikhail Skorokhod, president of “EUROCEMENT group”, JSC within the frameworks of his working visit to the site of the plant under construction. The meetingtook placein Podgorensky urban settlement, reported the press-centre of EUROCEMENT.

The parties discussed the pace of construction of a new innovative cement plant which would be included in the Holding. The new plant will produce 6,000 tons of clinker per day. 

As noted by Mikhail Skorokhod, president of “EUROCEMENT group”, JSC during the talks, construction of innovative cement plant was in its final stage. Construction of a new cement production line with capacity of 6,000 tons of clinker per day will include 34 production facilities which will occupy an area of 33.4 hectares. Completion date of construction works is planned for May 2012.

As reported to Alexei Gordeev by Mikhail Skorokhod, president of “EUROCEMENT group”, at the moment 18,000 tons of equipment have been delivered to the construction site and installed. Every day 1600 people work at the construction site of the new plant. By July 1, the holding management expects production of the first ton of cement. By August, landscaping will be completed. In the current year plant is expected to produce 500,000 tons of products. The designed capacity is planned to be achieved in 2013 – 2014. 

The Governor of the Voronezh region Alexei Gordeev very highly assessed the pace and quality of ongoing works at the construction site.

In addition, the parties discussed the possibility of further development of transport infrastructure in the region.      

President of the Holding offered to fund design works for the construction of the overpass and the adjacent road section at the expense of the “EUROCEMENT group” Holding. Governor Alexei Gordeev thanked Mikhail Skorokhod for the initiative and spoke on the possibility of including the cost of improving transport infrastructure in the region in the regional budget.

In this regard, Mikhail Skorokhod appealed to the governor for assistance in resolving the issue of reconstruction of the railway station, necessary for more effective use of the railways by the new plant. In order to carry out the works approval from “RZD”, JSC is required. For his part, Governor of the Voronezh Region Alexei Gordeev expressed willingness to discuss this matter with Vladimir Yakunin, president of “RZD”, JSC.

 “Agreements, achieved during the visit of the Governor of the Voronezh Region Alexei Gordeev to the construction site, are a bright example of public – private cooperation, aimed at the steady economic development of the region, its economic potential, infrastructure modernization and the welfare of its inhabitants,” – said Mikhail Skorokhod, president of “EUROCEMENT group”, JSC.    

In the conclusion of the talks, parties agreed to continue constructive dialogue on all issues of socio-economic mutually beneficial cooperation.
