OREANDA-NEWS. April 27, 2012. The Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure and PA&CО International, the Romania company, concluded contracts in the framework of the program of backing the road sector. Two contracts at sums of 12 mln. euros и 13 mln. euros provide complete rehabilitation of the 26th and the 19th kilometers of the road Comrat - Ciumai, which is a segment of the national highway M3 Chisinau-Giurgiulesti.

The European Bank of Reconstruction and Development will extend Moldova a loan for 30 years at 1% of interest rate p.a. Minister of Transport and Road Infrastructure Anatolie Salaru has noted the loan will be allotted to repair works and their supervision. The reparation of the segments will lower operating costs, a number of road accidents and save time. Representative of PA&CО International Marius Draganoiu has assured that all terms stipulated by the contracts will be observed and the rehabilitation is to be started this summer and completed in 21 months.

According to the information provided by the Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure, PA&CО International has been selected as a result of an international tender organized in line with guidelines of EBRF. The tender was taken part in by 10 companies. In addition, a tender has been held to select a technical supervisor. 19 international companies have made bids, but a result has not been announced yet. PA&CО International was founded in 1990 and goes in for industrial and civil construction, transportation and wood working.
